She was surprised I even knew about it, almost like she expected that I would not find out until check-in and then I would be stuck. I explained everything to her and she she still decided that she could get more money form another guest that would pay a higher rate, so i cancelled the entire reservation, stayed at another hotel, and Hilton compensated me for this unethical shady behavior. I asked her then what happened to the one I was going to be in and long story short, she gave away my room to a guest that was willing to pay a higher rate than what mine was booked for on points. I talked to the General Manager and the GM told me that she has a guest in "one" of the 2-bedroom suites that has been there for like a month, and I asked her if that was the one I was going to be in and she told me no. I called the hotel and spoke to the front desk person and she said she would put me on hold and look at what happened to see if she could get it fixed, and then she came back and said she was going to transfer me to the General Manager. We are a Hilton Diamond Member, made a reservation that we are paying for with points, needed a bigger room for the kids so we got the 2-bedroom suite, got the email confirmation once it was all taken care of, called the hotel again before we left for vacation to confirm our date of stay, number of nights, and room type and the front desk person confirmed all of that, then the day before we checked in, I went into the Hilton app to check in and noticed the room type was switched to a lower room. I don't always write reviews, but I try to for things are are terrible or things that are really great., and this is a terrible one.
